  • Forgot to soak the rajma / chana overnight? Soak them rightaway in a flask full of boiling water for about one hour. Works like magic.
  • Putting 3-4 cloves in the sugar container will keep the ants at bay.
  • Apply some lemon juice on the cut surface of the apple to avoid browning. They will look fresh for a longer time.
  • Kitchen scissors aren't sharp enough? Sharpen them by cutting a sheet of sandpaper into strips.
  • When you boil eggs in water, use the remaining water to water the house plants. Acts as a tonic for them.
  • Looking for fluffier omelettes? Add a teaspoon of water for every egg used ( instead of milk ) and see the amazing difference.
  • In a hurry to cook dal? Add turmeric powder and a teaspoon of oil to the dal, before you close the pressure cooker. It cooks quicker
  • Fast boil potatoes ' add a tablespoon of vinegar to the water and boil the potatoe.
